Lead for SWS
Joe Bauman is a Senior Geologist with Hunt Oil Company in Dallas, Texas. Joe followed a circuitous route to the oil and gas industry: after growing up in Iowa with a lack of rocks, Joe moved to Texas to train bird dogs professionally, followed by a return to Iowa and school where he switched majors to geology after one semester of Geology 100; he then returned to Texas to pursue his masters and be one of those guys he frequently used to guide on hunts and train dogs for.
Joe has been with Hunt since 2011, primarily working the Williston Basin and Appalachia. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and received his MS in Geoscience from Texas Tech University in 2011. Joe is a licensed Professional Geologist by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.
