The iconic 6666 ranch is not only home to acclaimed quarter horses and genetically-superior angus cattle but also houses world class oil and gas reservoirs. The main section of the ranch covers approximately 1/3 of King County and has produced over 100 MMBBLs from the Strawn, Cisco, Bunger, Canyon, and Tannehill formations. Burnett Oil Co. Inc., acquired 266 sq. miles of high-effort multi-component seismic in 2017 and have since been investigating the complex geology and petroleum systems found on the ranch. Detailed processing, mapping and inversion has pinpointed mechanisms driving the production of existing fields and a number of previously undiscovered geologic features. This presentation will provide a broad overview of the geologic setting and how modern well data has been integrated into ongoing exploration.
